I got the new today: budget being cut again. This is bad. I mean if the education budget is cut, the IB Program will be lost.Yeah, I’m enrolled in the first year of the IB I don’t want to quit something I already started.
Not only that, but they’re also planning on cutting JV sports! What’s up with that? Can have Frosh Soph but not JV? I don’t uderstand that. I mean we have to actually pay a transportation and activity fee to be in a team.
New teachers… sorry guys, but you’ll be the first ones to get the ax.
There’s other cuts, but those are the ones I remember because they directly affect me. But I knwo that a budget cut will really damage the education. Few teachers and a grwoing amount of students. Yeah that ouught to add up to good learning.
Thomas Jefferson believed that the only way to preserve democracy was through the education of the citizens. I don’t see that here. Maybe we should all juse become fascists.

Yogi was a let down. It didn’t grow anything. I was expecting it to be a giant bacterial monster struggling to get out of the petri dish. Instead I found nothing more than what I swabbed on the dish plus a stink. All of the pets really stink. I should have something something else to test. Spoiled milk, eew!
Today was this Fun-Run for Track to raise money. It’s supposed to be fun, but it really isn’t. You’re supposed to run for an hour and get people to pay you per lap. I thought I was going to run with some of my friends, but they just walked. I got pretty bored with that so I decided to walk the straightaway and sprint the curves to work on my form. I got 14 laps in. I really think I got a work out, but perhaps I went too hard because my shins are hurting really bad! I just hope I don’t get stress fractures [again] because I feel like I’m getting a start on a good season.
Wish I had a drawing to share today. I could make one but I have loads of homework to do.

So for my Bio IB class I had to design my own lab using four petri dishes. I won’t go into details but I tested four different milk products: milk, yogurt, sour cream, and panela. I left them in the classroom over the weekend. They’re my new pets: bacteria colonies!
I think I’m actually looking forward to Monday so I can check on my pets. I should come up with a name for them. Hmmm…
Yogurt colony: Yogi
Milk colony: Cowapunga
Sour cream colony: Cookies n’ cream
Panela colony: Pamela Anderson
