The Eretis

The Eretis are the only living testimony of the Elves. Their blood is a mixture of Human, Elf, and sometimes other creatures. The term Ereti is used to describe any being whose blood is mixed.

Eretis are a strong breed. They have some of the best characteristics from the Elves and the Humans. Like their Elf ancestors, the Eretis are capable of manipulating the energy in their enviroment. They are skilled in trades such as pottery and make excellent scouts. Also, just like their human ancestors, the Eretis are practical thinkers and have good physical abilities. They also inherited the hard working spirit of the humans. The Eretis pay no attention to their bloodline. To them, the past is non important and nonexistent.

There are two main types of Eretis, the Jaden Eretis and the Yellow Eretis.

The Jaden Eretis are those who live in the Jaden Kingdom. They are avid believers in fate and the power of the stars. They value precious minerals as well as fine silk. They consider themselves above the other Eretis in both power and intellect. They consider the Yellow Eretis to be immoral and bound to eventually fail.

Any Ereti living outside the Jaden Kingdom is considered to be a Yellow Ereti. Most of these Eretis are quite different from the Jaden ones. The Yellow Eretis do not have a religion. They consider the ideas of deities and higher powers to be nonsense. They discard the idea of fate. Fate, they say, is only for fools who wish to be told what to do. In their own country, they mock the Jaden Eretis and their ideas. They consider the Jaden Eretis to be slaves to their fine silk, jewels, and their gods. However, when face to face with a Jaden Ereti, a Yellow Ereti keeps his mouth shut.

In general, Eretis marry for life. The family is the basic social unit. Eretis can only succesfully conceive a child once in their lifetime. The one exception are twins and triplets.This keeps their population very low compared to the Humans.
