A Letter to Activists Seeking to End Unnecessay Suffering

May 20, 2008 · 1 Comment

Peace of satire on the extremist vegetarian ideas I have encountered. One of them, showed me a picture of a cow bathed in blood as I ate a hamburger.

~~~~~~~
Hello fellow activist of the world. Hello all of those who protest in the spirit of the glorious years of the 1960’s. I am one of you. I am your fellow activist and I write to all of you around the world with a very imprtant concern.
I know that many of us have focused on human rights, which are of uttermost importance and are constantly being violated around the world. If you are one of them, do not worry, this letter is not intended for you. I am writing to those of you who advocate the stopping of animal abuse. I write to those who sanction the usage of animals for human consumption. I am sorry, I do not believe you are seeing the bigger picture. There is a far bigger and more heinous crime going on in the world.
Everyday, they are bred and raised with one sole purpose: food for humans. Every day they are extracted of their properties to create products for humans. Everyday of their lives are counted and they toil under the hot sun knowing their life is destined to be taken unfairly away from them by “superior” beings. I am talking of course of plants.
What right does man have to murder and sacrifice beings for food. I propose we stop this abuse. Plants are being killed mercilessly to feed the starving masses. We must protest! Does this seem outrageous, to protest for the welfare for plants? I think not! Humans were not meant to eat plants anyway, I mean, many of us have already given up meat. I know science contradicts this, but my fellow activist we must stop the heinous crimes being done against the living organisms that have chloroplasts in their cells.
Please, give up plant eating today. Instead of being a vegetarian, become a pillatarian (one who gets their nutrients out of vitamin pills). Save unnecessary suffering from our fellow plants today.
A Farewell to AP’s
May 15, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Dear AP Tests,
I write to you to give you the final farewell of our time together during this year. It has gone by so fast, these 8 long months, all spent together in the company of a textbook and practice tests. I must say, our daily meetings were quite pleasant, they almost never failed to put me to sleep. Paradoxically, there were times when I was deprived from sleep. Staying up until midnight, with the pen scratching fore out of the paper, those were your favorite times.
At last, the good times came to an end. Our last hours together were divide into different sessions, each around three hours long. How I waited patiently for the clock hand to complete its usual loop. We finally said goodbye, sealing the annotated symbol of our friendship. I watched as you were taken from me by a proctor who was longing to get home. I know the feeling.
Farewell AP exams. If I were to see you again, it would be a sight for sore and sleep deprived eyes. Do not worry my friends, it wil not be long before we meet again, under the light of a flatt roofed classroom or among the pages of a book. There in between the crammed lines of text, I will see your face again.
Adieu, mes amis.
Empty Space
April 27, 2008 · 1 Comment
30GB, 80GB. Do we really need that much space for music? I don’t know, I only have 340 songs in my iPod. Only. I’ve come to realize that this new trend of the 80GBs has unleashed a competition among MP3 owners.
Everyday, I hear conversations that ago along these lines:
“I have x song sin my player”
“Really I have y in mine”
~~where x<y bu a significant amount.
Later on, the person with x number of songs will go and download as many songs as possible to reach and perhaps surpass y.
I’m trying to not fall into that contest, music loses its value.  But not it’s monetary value…
It seems like people are suddenly very open to music tastes, don’t take me wrong, I like open minded people but now buying music is done just to fill up those empty 80GBs. Good strategy by the music companies. Create a demand and the means by which to fulfill th demand.
Customer: I must find a way to fill up all this empty space! I ca’t let it go to waste, after all I spent 200 dollars on it
Seller: Well I can fix that. We have a large variety of songs available in different formats. Take three Beatles albums, and don’t forget the Platinum Deluxe Edition of Beatle Hits. It doesn’t matter that some sogs are repeated, it’s Platinum, remember? Still got empty space? Have some videos! Useless? Nah they’re hialrious. Besides think of the benefit it will fo you to watch them in a tiny screen! Ok? Well i see you have empty space still, come back next time and we’ll fill it up. Ok, buh bye!
