On my way home from practice I saw a group of women dressed all in black. They were all sitting in portable chairs facing the street and help a sign. They were protesting the war.I oppose the war.
It’s not about Iraqi freedom that was all bs. It’s about oil. It’s about Bush having an interest in oil (founded the Arbusto Energy company). A victory in Iraq probably means that the US will have to take control of the nation for a while, just until they get a government set up. If not it’s going to be a puppet government with the US pulling the strings. During that time, America will get hold of oil and money will go directly into the pocket of people like Bush or Ralph D. Smith.
At least the Bush administration is almost over…
There’s a war, yet at home we’re pretty peaceful. The truth is, most people are not really tuned in on what’s going on in Iraq. Look at the Top 1o in CNN are:
1. Ferraro steps down from Clinton campaign
2. Disabled girl’s parents defend growth-stuning treatment
3. ‘Deeply sorry,’ Spitzer to step down by Monday
4. suspect charged in UNC student’s death; second sought
5. All clear given after plane enters restricted area over Washington
6.Student suspended for buying Skittles at school
7. Southwest grounds planes places three on leave
8.Mom throws kids off bridge, then jumps; all survive
9. Commentary: Clinton mixes messages on Obama
10. Obama increases lead in delegate count
I don’t see any news on the war. Obviously, people are more interested in reading about kids getting punished for buying Skittles than the conflict int he Middle East. Gotta keep informed; so we know what’s goign on. Otherwise well be just like sheep, happy with our lot in out little pen, while outside a storm rages on.
